An opportunity has arisen for a Technician within Smart Metering based at Bristol.  The Smart Metering business is a growing enterprise fitting Smart Meters and providing a national service to both electricity suppliers and business customers.  The successful candidate will carry out metering tasks of a highly complex nature to time, cost and quality targets to meet business and customer service requirements.

* You may initially be appointed on a salary of £33,411 until all relevant training is completed.

For operational reasons, you must reside within approx 20 miles of Bristol.

Main responsibilities

You will be trained in single, three phase and CT metering installations. In addition, if would be beneficial to be trained in HV verification. You will carry out the short term work planning of the section as well as issue work instructions to colleagues providing guidance as appropriate to ensure that quality control remains a priority. The successful candidate will also approve the purchase of goods and services to predetermined levels, assist with the authorisation of field staff and resolve customer problems to their satisfaction.

Ideal candidate

Ideally you should have previous supervisory experience and hold a relevant BTEC certificate. Relevant commercial experience is essential. You must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service, have sound IT skills as well as a clean driving licence as you will need to be geographically mobile and travel throughout the South West area.
