I was ready to leave the NHS after 22 years in an acute setting of Intensive care and wanted to go into Occupational Health Nursing. WPD were offering the opportunity for me to do this.
My role within the Occupational Health team is conducting the health surveillance and fitness for work assessments and pre-employment drug and alcohol tests for the 11 depots in the South West.
I have been on various one to two day courses to gain qualifications in the tests that I carry out on a day to day basis.
